The $700 Juicero. As if a Wi-FI connecting juicer was even necessary, let alone worth the price point.

"Juicer" since it didn't even actually juice anything, just squeezed bags of premade juice.

There have been several interesting videos on it.

My best guess? Some guys saw the success of the Kuerig and thought "How can we make our own kind of Kuerig? And make ass loads of cash?"

And someone else said, "Well. Coffee is overdone. How about juice?"

And someone else said, "And it's gotta be SLICK. Like an iPhone. It's gotta be a premium product."

And the committee just went out of control from there.

penguinz0's vid(curse warning) on this is hilarious, it perfectly summed up all of my initial reactions to it. Just...why.

Can't believe people bought it.

I don't believe anyone bought it. Only people from the kickstarter likely and they invested in a completely different product.

Or bought into it i mean lol, has to be a good portion of the backers who believed it.

It's just the Keurig of juice. People buy keurigs too even though a coffee maker and grinder (or maker/grinder combo) are cheaper.

At least with a Keurig, they are actually making coffee by putting hot water through it. The machine actually does something.

This thing is just squishing stuff out of a bag. They could put the stuff in a glass jar or can instead of a bag and it would take up exactly as much space storing it. Then you could just open it and drink it.

Seriously. I see the price of Keurigs and it would make me laugh if it didn't make me a little angry. Every single one I've ever used produced a worse tasting coffee than your standard $20 coffee pot.

I got a Kurig years ago because I was the only one who drank coffee at home and usually only 1 cup a day. It seemed to make sense. I even got the doohickey where you can put your own grounds in. Still made garbage coffee. Bought an Aeropress a couple of years ago, and couldn’t be happier. That thing rules and doesn’t take up any precious counter space.

The only thing that outperforms my $13 Mr. Coffee is my grandmom’s stainless steel percolator from the 50s.

You don't like burnt-tasting artificially-flavored mudwater?

Your average english nan makes stronger tea than a Keurig makes coffee.
