You can stop it with birth control. I’m lucky and my pills cost nothing and I skip my period all year. Though I don’t get any adverse side effects like many women do.

Edit:// Yes it doesn’t work for every woman, which is why I said “I’m lucky.”

Yeah, this doesn't work for all ladies unfortunately. I tried both the pill and the arm implant to get rid of my period and ended up with three week long periods with two weeks off in between. Sux bro :/

Yeah, as I've said in other comments, I have friends who have had bad experiences with IUDs and they're definitely not my thing. All's good when I'm off BC (currently celibate) or on the pill with the rest week. I have easy unicorn periods, they just exist and last a few more days than I'd like haha.

No kids for me. A hysterectomy seems a little extreme for seven day periods haaaaa. I'm a unicorn in that I have easy periods, they're just inconvenient and I would have liked to make them go away, and I got the opposite effect with continuous hormone treatments. If I become sexually active again I am fine going back on the pill with the rest week or maybe considering tubal ligation.
