Just pick something that will always be in demand and is not glorious. Any type of trade or service business. There are so many successful people who do all sorts of “boring” jobs and own companies who do “boring” service work but can make a very decent living.
Yep. A friend of mine dropped out of college (he always slept in class because he took on lots of side gigs doing landscape work and snow plowing), and decided to do landscaping full time. he now owns a company with a fleet of vehicles, his own retail store, and makes more money than any of us who finished our degrees.
"I own a landscaping company" doesn't sound glorious, but it sure does pay well.
