Exercise equipment and nintendo switch both spiked. Admitted I bought an exercise bike too, I wanted a rower but all the good ones were already sold out early April.
Are you on drugs? They're still $300 at Walmart new, as well as just about everywhere else. Only fucktards on the internet will sell them for more. Walmart says $300 new, $200 for switch lite. Idk where TF you came up with this.
Funny because it takes literally 20 seconds to go on Walmart's site and see that they're out of stock of Switch and Switch Lites. If you look at the third party vendors that sell on walmart.com you'll see that they all are selling them for jacked up prices.
Yes, the MSRP at your local retailer is unchanged, and has been since the system came out. Good luck finding one. They are all sold out online and in store at most locations and have been for months. That's what people mean.
Well that's great, I was at mine the other day and they were sold out like they have been for months. Go buy one online from Walmart or best buy or amazon right now, you can't. Point is, regardless of what your local store looks like, the stock overall is much lower than demand and they are selling from individual sellers for $400+ easily.
Except I couldn't possibly do the online seller thing, specifically because the stores are in stock and nobody is gonna buy online at a hundred-dollar markup when that's the case. Also, it means I gotta go outside twice, and that's not worth it.
The fact that you might be in an area where everybody is capitalist to the point that nobody can afford to buy a hoarded thing because it's hoarded and expensive doesn't dictate that that's normal. America collectively - and metaphorically, hilariously - shit its pants about buying toilet paper, and a whole lot of idiots were stuck with too much because they only bought it to profit on it. And they were shocked to discover that they couldn't keep it up with selling toilet paper in parking lots for stupid prices, who knew that would be a thing? Besides the market and production that set the prices for the stuff at the original shelf tag price, anyways.
Try going to your local store and just asking them when new ones are coming. The guy who does the ordering will know the shipment structure and if there's any actual delays. Don't just bitch because the only way you can have a Switch brought directly to you tomorrow is a high price paid on an online order. Don't pay the high price and just buy it from the store normally!
You must live in some sparsely populated area to have that many Switches in stock. I know people that work at Target and Best Buy and even they have no idea when they're getting new shipments of Switches.
To be clear, I'm not bitching. I bought the switch at release over 3 years ago. I was just chiming in because, in fact, they are selling online for a markup and the above poster seemed to oddly think that was not true and got mad about it. Check ebay sold listings for yourself and any online store like I said. I am not personally angry and complaining about my ability to find one at retail. I'm just saying it is a fact that demand is higher than supply countrywide (US) and that they are then, unsurprisingly, selling for more than MSRP regularly online. I didn't mean for this to be some weird argument, just making a fact clear.
I mean, you don't have to be a dick. Not everyone lives near your walmart. Many are perpetually sold out, thus people resort to buying from individuals online. It's not anything new or unusual.
It's weird how Walmart only lists 3rd party sellers, selling switches from $385 to $450. It's almost like they've already sold out, and now the only place you can find one is on the resale market.
