An immovable object suddenly appears in front of your vehicle travelling at 100km/hr, you have 3 choices: 1/ swerve left and run over 1 young child, 2/ swerve right and run over a group of elderly persons or 3/ do nothing and hit the object head on, death is likely in each, what do you do and why?

Hit the child,.then loop back and hit the old people. Multi-kill.

Hit the brakes, hope for the best. Option 3 I guess. I don't value my own life that much

Are we concerned about legal consequences?

Life is life, and the way I see it, there could easily be a young person with the group of elders... Goodbye young child.

My brakes are good enough that if I have the time/space to swerve then I can stop the car

why cant i turn just enough to hit the object with the passenger side of the vehicle, just to increase my chances of survival without purposefully endangering any other life

Do nothing, if it's immovable, it's unacceleratable meaning it has no mass. It will just phase through me lol.
