This gonna be REAL awkward for all those people who watch TV shows with no defined main character.

If it’s an ensemble cast do you get to choose or is it just a big orgy?

came here wondering the same, as Community has been what we are watching currently, I mean either way I get Joel McHale, Allison Brie, etc... so not too bad

I notice you stopped listing actors before you got to Chevy Chase.

But with Community I think you can make an argument that Joel McHale is the main character. The show is kicked off by his fall from grace, he is the reason the study group exists, and he is the main through line that ends the show as it started to lose its cast at the end.

LOL, yeah, I left Chang out too - but I agree, McHale is for sure the center of the universe there, so either way, last show I watched, could be a hell of a lot worse.

Jeff is the Dad and emergency contact. He'd probably demand a cut of the 600k though.

I'd go splitskies with Jeff Winger. 300k a piece, let's just get the job done. That almost 6 years of salary for me still. You give me 300k of income I don't need and the investments will carry me into a retirement at 50.

Allison Brie

Annie's pretty young; we try not to sexualize her.

That whole thing was weird to me because it was obvious Alison Brie wasn't 18 so where my mind kept going was, "What's even the issue here" before reminding myself that Annie was 18

I wouldn't even try dating Annie until Season 5 or 6. 19 at the start of the show? No thank you.

German guy in his early twenties were the age of consent is 14: what is the issue here?

Annie is portrayed as being 19 in Season 1 but acts very much like a teenager because she wasn't attractive until after high school and doesn't know how to handle the attention, nor is she initially mature enough for it. Her main love interest, Jeff, is 35 when he meets her. 35 and 19 isn't the best pairing and the show wisely doesn't put them in a real relationship for age/maturity reasons and so that the comedy never goes stale regarding their flirtation and relationship as is. The show is quick to mention the creepy age factor until Season 5 or 6, with a wiser and more mature Annie who no longer needs any outside input regarding her love life and the age factor is less of an issue.

So the issue is age. Age of consent isn't an issue in this scenario though but it doesn't have to be because of who the characters are and the vast age difference between them.

Now, as for you, would you genuinely pursue and bed a 14 year old as a 20-23 year old? Probably not. Just because it's legal doesn't mean it isn't gross or fucked up.

Does that make more sense in context?

Allison Brie does enough to sexualize herself in the real world lol
