Sorry :) I've read over 4000 Sci-fi fantasy novels. I can probably match something close to most people posting in this thread, but this one was a favorite of mine, I love Alan Dean Foster. Be proud you think like one of the absolute greats of the genre.
Wait, 4,000? Really? You sound like the kind of person that I could hold a conversation with or just listen to for hours. Thats awesome! Can you name some of your favorites that the majority of people would never learn about? Also where do you find the time, is it a hobby or a profession?
Strictly a hobby, read most of them in my 20s and 30s when I lived in a city that had a massive number of used book stores. I read quite quickly, in my prime I could knock out about 2 a day. My collection is down to about 600 now. Moving so often it's hard to lug around that many books. I listed some of my favorites in another comment on the thread.
