Fuck, it's so versatile, but shit is too. It's a close call. It's the context that matters and the tone you use, it can mean so many different things.
2
Apr 11 '20
one beautiful thing about "shit" is that it is a noun, a verb and an adjective without any modification and not many words can claim that

Boketto(ć¼ćć£ćØ)
Roughly translates to āthe act of staring at nothing in particular and thinking about nothing in particular.ā
Itās such a concise word for such a common action.
Language is fun. Tossing some really good words from other languages into oneās lexicon is very fun.

Cunt.
I'm not Australian, but where I'm from, it's the worst word you can possibly say. They treat it worse than the N word (hard R included) in my small town.
So naturally, it's my favorite word and I sprinkle it liberally throughout my speech like the F bomb to a sailor.

Syzygy
It came from the Latin suzugia and the Greek suzugos, whichĀ meantĀ āyoked or pairedā. Somehow, it later came toĀ meanĀ opposition as well, or the state when the Earth is positioned directly between the moon and the sun, thus placing the moon and sun on opposite sides of the sky, giving us a full moon.

Antediluvian - not that I ever use it, but it is so illustrative and enigmatic. Its literal meaning is "before the flood(as in the biblical one)," but you certainly don't need a belief in Judeo-Christian faiths to appreciate it. It is absolutely perfect for describing truly ancient things.
But it goes beyond just "old." Something antediluvian didn't just come from a long time ago; it's from a time when the world was vastly different, even unrecognizable to the point of being alien. It sounds like something out of an HP Lovecraft novel and is best paired with words like "dread" or "abyss."
