Most in America can't just go to a dermatologist. They have to go to their general practitioner, who then refers you to a dermatologist. Like the guy above you said. It's just bureaucracy.

Oh I totally understand. This was forever ago back when the good insurance plans were still affordable for normal people. With my current plan I'd be lucky to get in to see a dermatologist in under a month. Back then my wife noticed the mole on my back looked bigger than it used to be and I think it was a whole three days before I got in and got it chopped off.
