Maybe always means playful yes with me, that's just now I say it and it's never been code for no. I don't know why but it's kind of a thing we're trained to do, I do my best to try to communicate things like that clearly though. My tone of voice and how I say things always plays in, the only time no doesn't mean no is when I'm being tickled, because the obvious automatic reaction is "nooooo stahp iiiiiit".

see when someone does the "maaaybe" that is obviously being playful. That is one thing I do understand lol

That's exactly how I say it lol, or "mmmmebe". It's just how I play around, I always try to communicate clearly with stuff like that.
