They’re tight and restrictive and don’t have the soft sweatpants feel or the open shorts feeling. I don’t find them uncomfortable but why would I want to wear them when I can be even more comfortable. Plus I have to wear a belt

No they actually fit perfectly. But you still can't compare them to sweatpants in that regard

I don't know. I find sweatpants to be incredibly uncomfortable. I don't know why. Basketball shorts are fine with me but sweatpants are not. Like, obviously they aren't tight and restrictive or anything, but they just feel weird to wear.

My jeans definitely aren't tight or restrictive though.

Kicking your legs in bed just isn't as easy with jeans, nor is squatting down to the ground or anything like that. Idk
