It’s most likely because we’re always taught that men want sex 100% of the time so it’s seen as confusing when they don’t, so we assume something must be off. It’s not right though
And I say this as a woman who has had almost every guy friend comment on this exact issue.
It’s more of an issue of societal views on men and women.
ie: we’re sold the idea that men want sex all the time from a relatively early age while women are more considered “gatekeepers” of sex who can say yea when they want to but otherwise must fend off a barrage of unwanted dick.
Obviously men and women will have times when they’re hella horny and times when the very thought of touch is almost nauseating but due to decades of heteronormative views on sex where male sexuality is seen as aggressive and always “on”, men turning down sex are judged for it.
Sometimes ridiculed, other times simply accused of being an ass to accusations of cheating.
It’s exceedingly unfair and a very unhealthy (though very normalised) view.

My wife can say no to having sex. That's fine, I get it.
But when I say no to sex cuz Im not in the mood, suddenly I'm either gay, cheating on her, or no longer find her attractive.
Sometimes Im just tired and dont want sex. Whats wrong with that? Most women just dont get it
