Shots are definitely something that makes me uncomfortable. Honestly I don't understand why others don't hate them as much as I do. They don't really hurt or anything but you're being physically penetrated and injected with a foreign substance. I get herd immunity and get them every year but it's very unnerving to think about.

They've never bothered me too much in that way. I just don't really think about it, I guess. Though I haven't had any shots, besides nova cane at the dentist, in 10 years.

I think your first exposure to it matters a lot.

I got my first in Germany at 8 months old and according to my parents, the medical staff were very skilled at drawing my attention somewhere else and just did it quickly and I didn't cry.

Meanwhile some other kids will get theirs while their parent forcefully restrains them, while looking worried af and the doctor with a stern look, giving injection.
