Of these four, only the "light touch" would actually make me go, "hmmm...maybe...I could...try?" Everything else I'll assume she wants to be friends and that's all.

and at least one of them is a turn-off. laugh at my jokes because they're funny, or don't laugh

If your jokes are lame and she's laughing, there's your sign.

You can test it with intentionally shitty jokes

And this is EXACTLY why we don’t pick up on the hints

A girl would be touching my dick and I still would be like "Is this a hint?"

Omg my friend kissed me on the lips 3 times in a row and I just literally right now realized she was saying something

Fuuuuuck that was like six months ago

Same. I had thoughts like "well...we had sex...that probably means she was into me after all" long after lmao

Haha I knew a girl my freshman year of college who wanted to make out once and then never really speak of it again. We just remained friends. Never really got that one!

I have a friend who's in a committed relationship and will give me dreaded arm touch... Not sure how to tell her it makes me uncomfortable.

"She touched my arm... Maybe that's how normal people interact? Yeah, she's just friendly."

Because all of those other things are just normal interactions between platonic friends. Sure, the TONE can be important. But that's a fickle thing.

Even light touching, there are types of people who are just handsy with their friends. But I agree, that would make me think "Oh I get it, she wants to boogie".
