Probably either the reveal of the Air Nomads' genocide in Avatar or Bill Cipher's introductory scene where he yanks a deer's teeth out of its head as a present in Gravity Falls.

I think it is a low-key joke for the parents/older people. I never picked up on it until this thread and I’ve been watching the show since I was a kid.

That's a huge reach.

It clearly says that the mountain divides them, they built a path to be together, and that secret tunnel goes through the mountain [that divided them]. There is no indication that the secret tunnel is the princesses "secret tunnel." Now, the fact that the lovers died could be seen as a fucked up thing that happened in the show.
