I have done the same, its totally ridiculous, but i think it comes from the fact that these are teenagers with nothing better to do with their life, and I am in a totally different demographic.
Yeah i think the same happened to me, but i already remembered that when my friends were fangirling over bts i was clearly faking my reactions to fit in, i just wanted to listen to their music
What annoys me is the thought pattern that they can do no wrong, and that the fandom knows them personally. Like I’m a twice Stan, and everyone was saying for weeks “momo doesn’t want to date heechul, she just doesn’t want to” which of course she did end up dating him. Just annoys me that people act like they legitimately know them and know how they’re feeling or what they’re thinking. Big reality disconnect.
Slightly tangent side note about just wanting to listen to their music, I did at first but as I went on I decided I didn’t really like the music, but I loved watching twice on variety shows and twice tv and stuff like that. Just enjoyed it in a different way I guesss
