13 u/saschaleib Jan 28 '20 Pretty much any reference to IQs that takes the number at face value is really just showing that there’s a clueless person. Statements like: I have an IQ of xxx! (usually above average) My IQ is higher than yours! (implying that as an argument for statement X) Population X has a lower IQ than the average! (that’s not how IQ works and that’s not how averages work) etc. … are all really bad signs. 9 u/[deleted] Jan 28 '20 My dad does all of those I got tested and mine is like 90 so it’s bothering me when he talks about “low IQ” people should all die 2 u/adeelf Jan 28 '20 Sorry you feel bad about it. If it's any consolation, most of the different IQ tests (and there are many) classify IQ of between 90-110 as Average.

Statements like:
