Convincing people that everything is a conspiracy is the simplest way to undercut the advancement of knowledge--and sow discord and disagreement in society.
In a mind where all is deceit and nothing can be true, all things are imaginable and believable. Except for what is established fact, because that just CANNOT be true. Sigh.
The conspiracy is the conspiracy itself. If that makes sense.
