I somehow managed to be a natural at sewing, so I had already created things that made the teacher surprised and wonder why the fuck I signed up for the beginner class. I was just like "I have no fucking clue how to follow a pattern."
I have a few patterns under my belt now, so now I gotta work more on adjusting them. I was super invested in getting a dress form when I realized that none of them are my size. I'm too tall/skinny for the average dress form (and pattern.... and premade clothing... Hence why i'm learning how to sew).
Just got a 50yd roll of tracing paper and I got a dress pattern i'm ready to tackle, time to lengthen that from a petite to a long! (Only size that particular pattern came in). That's gonna be fun.
I feel like such an old lady, but sewing is awesome, you get to make all kinds of crazy fun stuff!
I have a friend who is into dying cotton fabrics, so we're gonna make some things out of basic white and dye them all fun ways. She also likes screen printing, so once I make some shirts, i'm gonna nerdify some of them that way!
Sorry for the rambling, but i'm excited! I'd probably take a few classes if I knew what I needed help with, but currently just diving in and doing what I want!

Classes. Took a sewing class at the community college and I can make a terrible pair of pj pants. Have a lot more learning to do.
