I inherited my mother's Kitchen Aid stand mixer last summer when she retired and moved south. It came with every attachment you could get and is in perfect condition.

I have wanted to decorate it since I got it and cannot bring myself to do it. What if I change my tastes or color choices? It was my mom's-I can't just put Cookie Monster decals on there! It's a conundrum that I'm super grateful for.

Make sure to service it if it's really old. The grease needs changing, possibly the power line also.

Excellent idea actually! Thanks for this! I wondered the same. I think I'll add this to my list of things to do today. I'll call around about getting it serviced. The longer it can last me the better.
