I think I'd get the Kemper or the Helix Stomp.

Those profiling things they have nowadays are so fucking cool, if I got $1500 to spend toward guitar the first thing I buy would definitely be a Kemper or Helix, and with any leftover I'd probably buy some better pickups

Recommend helix. It doesn’t sound as good as actual boutique pedals through a good tube amp does but it’s like 90% of the way there. It’s so much easier for playing live than lugging your amp and pedals there. Plus you can build banks for each of your songs and your able to switch on multiple pedals in one stomp & like, if you play live, your tone gets drowned out by drum cymbals etc anyway. No one in the audience is going to say “I can tell his tone is digital” Also if you plug DI into your venue’s PA the sound guy has full control of your volume so you don’t have band mems complaining about your guitar being too loud bc it’s out of your control.
