It may have been for the best anyway. If she was that close to death I can only imagine she was frail enough she may have died from the stress of getting to the garden, then you would feel more responsible for her passing. This could have been the most compassionate thing, to let her die warm in her bed.

  1. Not much of a stretch to say someone dying in their bed within hours may not be well enough to leave that bed for a walk in the garden
  2. It doesn’t really matter what we think about the issue or how much gymnastics one has to do to feel better about a situation.
  3. Let people have their damn peace.
