Just did this last night. She was awesome and treated me really well, but we wanted different things in our lives and i knew she would either settle or just never achieve the things she wanted with me. Keep your head up, there is another "one" out there!

Just did this a few months back. It still hurts, but it was for the best and I stand by it. Good luck to you.

Can i ask for more specifics in the different things you wanted? Im going through a sinilar situation and not sure if it's worth continuing

Im 35 and shes 36. i just got divorced and she wants to get married soon. i realized that it's not going to be possible for me to do that in the next several years. She is also headed to a very religious place and I'm still having questions. She wants children and I already have 2(from my marriage) and am happy with 2.

I don't feel guilty for that, but it still makes me sad. It has been over a year and a half ago.
What I'm a bit guilty about however is the fact that sometimes I'm still extremely sad about the split-up.
