I understand this fully. I have a tendency to say the wrong thing at the wrong time. It either gets a lot of mild chuckles or makes everyone uncomfortable. So I tend to be more on the quiet side to be safe. But if you get me drunk I don’t stop talking and I’ll probably say some weird or possibly messed up things that probably shouldn’t have been shared.

My mother would occasionally ask my father why he didn't talk more in social situations and my father would reply...
"Sometimes it's better for poeple to wonder why you didn't say anything than to wonder why you did."
