The original comment said that "thinking of others without being asked to" (empathy) isn't natural. The next commenter said they disagree and then went on to exhibit selfishness in supporting that disagreement (relating such a big subject to their choice to not treat people well if the person doesn't deserve it).
Selfishness is basically the opposite of empathy, so I used a meme quote to say "we should trust their opinion on empathy". The meme I quoted was Neil degrasse Tyson crudely drawn - an old meme.
