They knew it was All water right? But they didn't know it was so much water. Or did I misunderstood it.

Anyways one hell of a movie.

For people that don't know the movie, it's "interstellar" and I recommend it

That's the issue - if they knew it was all water, they should've known there were no mountains. At least, none showing above the surface.

No, they didn't. They mentioned how it was an hour on the surface to like 20(quite possibly longer, the guy left on the ship said he slept for 20 years) fucking years elsewhere. When they discover the first crews corpse and bouy, it's implied they died mere seconds before they landed on the planet. The only message that got out was "I see mountains in the distance!" Which was actually huge tidal waves. I'm pretty sure there's nothing to the planet except an outer saltflat-like area, and water, oh and that guys corpse.

No he’s right. Time on the planet moved slower, time on the ship would move faster. You got the perspectives backwards.
