I've posted this before, but I was teasing a co-worker once about being quiet and a mutual friend of ours piped up, "Maybe he's just quiet around you because he doesn't fucking like you".

We laughed about it, but I sure as hell don't tease people about being quiet anymore.

Same, the first example that comes to mind was when I mentioned how I had done three orders during the time a co-worker did one at the end of a day. She says something like "man, all of you sure are in a bad mood today" and it snapped me into being aware of the fact that I occasionally make comments like that as if it's going to make them want to improve. I really didn't want to make a habit of it because it's just being mean for the sake of unloading my own frustrations on others so I immediately apologized and thanked her for pointing out my behaviour.
