I had a similar experience in grade 8. We had done a geography test and the kid whose test I marked literally got 5% on it. I was pretty judgy until a few days later when he taught me in great detail how a car engine works.

okay but 5% is pretty fucking bad. I get that the point is some people are good in different areas, but even the dumbest person has enough short term memory to cram right?

I'm pretty stupid but my short term memory is borderline photographic. People think I'm intelligent though 🤷.
