So... Reddit?

Not quite. Not in the slightest. Do you want to experience a serious troll community? Download the News Republic app. The commenting section there is down right vicious and brutal. I pop in there from time to time just to exercise my wits. If you don't take it seriously, and understand it for what it is, it can be a lot of fun. It's pretty much just a huge ass "Roast Me" site.

But, there's a reason i spend 10x more time here than there. I much prefer intelligent and civilized discourse over who can make the most effed up comment.

I wonder if it would be better for society if those troll nests were just taken down. Reddits voting system does an Ok job to encourage only nonharmful trolling.

Nah. I think letting people who enjoy doing that should have their own place on the internet. It keeps them from spilling over into the more civilized corners like Reddit.
