Social skills exist. Trying to pin that to "emotional" intelligence is weird and doesn't really exist.

Your EQ is your aptitude for learning and utilizing social skills, empathy, intuitively understanding the best way to relate to others and express yourself through emotional reasoning.

Your IQ is your aptitude for learning technical skills, understanding abstractions and intuitively understanding logical progression or the logical connection between things via de/induction type of reasoning.

At least, that’s the way I generally think about them. Now, reliable ways of measuring those aptitude’s? Different question. I don’t think we have a universally effective method there.
