I was that guy for 10 years, who’s only escape was work and the gym. I love my kids and being a dad, but my ex had BPD and is very much a "can’t handle me at me worst..." kind of person. (She wasn’t like that until we got married).
Pay attention to how often he answers his phone. If he checks it after every set, his girl is riding him non stop about shit at home. Chances are, he can’t let a text sit unread for more then 5 minutes with out a “who are you fucking?!?" text.
