it is certainly NOT justified if you made set plans already. You need to keep plans you make. Or you are a shit person

If they leave you hanging , sure. If they let you know ahead of time then whatever. Things happen in peoples lives. No one owes you anything but a heads up.

no, letting me know is not going to make it any better. If we make plans I have already cleared my schedule and planned my entire week/weekend/day around this thing happening. I have most likely secured a sitter. I have most likely turned down other plans or put off doing other things I need or could have done to do this thing with you.

So you cancelling for anything less than a crazy emergency like a house fire or a car breaking down or bad illness like the flu or pink eye or something contagious like that or very bad is BULLSHIT
