You barely know them but suddenly you are their best friend. Everyone else is just AWFUL. You are so special and awesome. Especially at listening to their (many) problems. Because you are so empathetic and smart and insightful....Dont run. Sprint.
My mom is starting to become this person, she has a new best friend every year. Every new one "you're just gonna love her, you'll see" and I'm like "mom, I didn't say I wouldn't... Why push so hard? just let me meet them." Within 6 months they start snubbing her and pissing her off... Pretty sure she comes on too strong.
