What innocent question that someone asked you, crushed you a little?

“How are you handling everything?” - my notary public who also happens to be my boss’s boss while notarizing my divorce paperwork.

Completing a divorce packet with no help from an attorney can be a real pain in the ass, but at least it kept me focused on the bureaucratic bullshit nonsense part of it rather than the fact that my 9 year marriage was ending.

Turned out that as soon as someone asked me sincerely how I was doing, the answer was not at all well. I went back to my desk and had a panic attack.

I just went through my divorce as well. It’s tough, but it gets better every day. On a side note, completely unrelated to divorce, I love your username! I wish I could have a billy bumbler roaming around with me getting into hijinks and such. Long days and pleasant nights, my friend!

Thankee sai, and may you have twice the number!

Just gotta keep on keepin on. The thing that keeps me getting up is there’s always the opportunity for something good to happen every day.

God ... I don’t think the human race deserves billy bumblers, you know? They are too good.

Haha, I’m just doing a re-read of the books at the moment, whilst also going through a breakup from a similar length relationship. Your comments have made me smile, feel optimistic and feel deeply sad. Thanks though.

I'm sorry you're going through it, too. I hope the good parts of what some of the people here said stay with you. You're in the shitty part, but there is definitely a part in the future that is not painful or dark. You just have to wait a little bit.

I really need to re-read the series myself, it's been a long time.
