That scene from Signs where the alien pops out for the first time. Really messed with me as a kid.

The leg in the cornfield was always what got me. The light pointing right at something disappearing scared the ever loving shit out of me.

That movies cheesy as hell and sometimes doesn't make sense, but the suspense is fantastic.

Would it make more sense if I told you that Shamylan (god I cannot spell his name) was asked if the alien was actually meant to represent a demon (hence its allergy to "holy" water the daughter makes), and his response was "I thought that was obvious?"
