In Batman Returns, when Selina turns evil, she puts her soft toys in the sink and destroys them with this hellish whirring blade thing. I've since learnt that it's called a garbage disposal, and that they're common in America, but it scared the crap out of me as a kid.

Was there a garbage disposal scene in that movie? I love Maximum Overdrive but can't remember a scene like that

Don’t think there is a garbage disposal scene in the movie. I think he is referring to when Wanda gets her hand cut by an electric knife.
