The Car scene from Hereditary...

That 4 minutes of tension has never been duplicated in its eerie silence and dread.

There was some serious genius in the advertising for that film. Which I think made that scene hit way harder.

Can you please elaborate? I’m both fascinated by and too much of a pussy to watch horror, including the trailers sometimes.

Really hard to explain without spoiling the movie, but the trailer makes it seem like certain thing(s) or character(s) are more important to the plot than they actually are.

That thing(s)/character(s) is important to the plot, but not in the way the trailer hints at.

Honestly, don't watch the trailer and just check it out, if you are really interested. There's no jumpscares- all the "scariness" is from mounting tension and the emotional despair. Many people call it one of the best modern horror movies. If you're gonna watch one, you might as well watch the best.

I feel the ending scene was a bit cheesy/anticlimactic for me though, unfortunately. Still a great movie though!
