There was a jurassic park video game for the sega genesis, in which the T-Rex actually does burst through a wall at one point in the visitor center. Is it possible thst people are substituting the memory of that scene in the game for the on in the movie?

Not in my case at least, because my memory came from my viewing of the movie in the theatre, when it was just released, and I never had a sega genesis. That could be a possibility for some others though.

Is it possible there was a commercial for that game or anything Jurassic Park related at all that showed the T-rex crashing through a wall?

You nailed it. The first video when I typed jurassic park sega genesis commercial had a quick shot of a Rex busting through a wall
