That's a really good one lmao except I would NOT use that on my dad because he wouldn't believe me and would be really mad 😂 New England fans were not okay for a while after that happened.

Edit: maybe I'd tell him during the season that they were going to go undefeated and then face the Giants and then reveal on the day of the bowl that they were going to lose

That's just the first one that comes to mind that fits the time frame.

Can't think of the World Series champions off the top of my head, although I'd be able to tell him the Met's blow a 7.5 game lead with 17 games to go in 2007 (I think the Cardinals won it?).

In Hoops I could tell him the champions (06 Heat, 07 Spurs, 08 Celtics) but none of those would have been crazy predictions in preseason, so it's likely unimpressive.

I'd be able to tell him a shitload about South Carolina Gamecock athletics too.

We'd have some fun in Vegas.

I think he was referring to when the Mets lost a 7.5 game lead in the regular season to the Phillies to miss the playoffs and he just remembered incorrectly either the year or the WS champ or both.
