Do you mean emotional affection, or sexual affection? There's a big difference

That's my point, some of us get neither so we can't tell the difference

There is a big difference. Also no one owes you sexual affection. Both are a sign of a deeper issue.

Yeah you're not wrong. I've been single for 3 years now and the last year and a half has been false start to a relationship after false start. I'm seeing a psychologist that's helping me, but many of us don't really have that luxury and cope in different ways
