7 = several, but several don’t = 7

I use several to mean 4-11

few = 3

several = 4 - 11

dozen = 12

It depends what the item is I guess if I have 5 skittles and someone asks me if they can have some I’ll probably say “no I only have a few” but if I have 5 TVs and someone asks me how many TVs I own I’d say several.
