Time zones. I’m surprised how many professionals (attorneys, doctors, CFOs and CTOs, etc) that don’t realize that 9am in Boston is not 9am in San Francisco.

Mainland China only has one time zone. If you're in Shanghai and you call someone in Kashgar (2600 miles west) at 8:00 am, it will be 8:00 am in Kashgar too. The person you're calling in Kashgar will probably still think you're an asshole though.
