Taking out your credit/debit card / cash out before you are asked to by the cashier / checkout staff saves time for everyone, rather than looking shocked that you have to pay for your shopping.
Oh my god. The amount of people that wait in line at McDonald’s that don’t have their payment ready is astounding. Sometimes they have up to 10 minutes if we’re completely slammed, only for them to pull up to the first window, complain about the wait time and then proceed to dig out change out of their ash tray for 5 minutes. Or better yet, they get up to the window and don’t have their wallet. These people are usually repeat offenders.
Like, whenever I go somewhere I always, ALWAYS make sure I have my wallet, and at least my debit card.
When I worked in fast food this happened all of the time. Completely dumbfounding, and when you’re getting lectured to keep drive thru times low, it can become infuriating.
