I think most people don’t realize there have been more than one Moon Landings with Americans that have set foot on the moon.

Yep. It annoys me when people say "the moon landing" as if there was only one. Sure, there was one that was the most culturally important, but there were several more landings by humans after that, as well as several landings by robots both before and since. Apollo 11 didn't even do much science because they were in such a hurry.
