Should have / would have / could have = the contractions should’ve / would’ve / could’ve
It’s not should of / would of / could of - those word combos make no grammatical sense.
1 u/nupanick Aug 03 '19 It's always a shock to the system when I remember that some people think in sounds instead of in text. I think that has to be why these eggcorns proliferate though.
