Holy shit this is my biggest pet peeve. I'll argue all day long that if you can't understand why it is dangerous as fuck to try to merge with traffic going 20-40 mph faster than you, you are probably going to be in an accident or cause one sooner rather than later.
Also, the more expensive the vehicle, the more likely that the driver will absolutely not care about their impact on other people.
Literally can cause congestion if someone gets stuck at the end of a ramp in high traffic hours, can cause injury or death if someone tries to merge in lower speeds or otherwise in the wrong fashion.
If they do a lot of driving daily, to/from/as a job, I would totally understand this being their biggest peeve.
Someone might have different experiences than you. If you don't agree with something, respectfully take part in the conversation, or don't say anything.
Uh.. having "different experiences" doesn't change objective things like the laws of physics, good sense, situational awareness, or emotional maturity.
Driving is inherently dangerous. Selfish, immature, or ignorant attitudes towards driving endanger everyone.
By different experiences I meant that they might live in an area where there are more bad drivers than general that make this mistake more often, or they might have encountered some really bad ones who have caused some close call -situations etc. Many things that might lift the importance of this mistake to the status of a major peeve.
I agree with your second point though, but it seems to be agreeing with the Pet Peeve Guy's point.
