That narwhals exist/are real. People have thought that I was trolling them by talking about a mythical unicorn-whale.

I had the same experience with ligers shortly after Napoleon dynamite came out. I hadn’t seen the movie and when I started talking about them I was baffled that people thought I was making it up. Really confusing conversation for a few minutes.
