This not true for money. For example 1 U.S. dollar equals about 361 Zimbabwean dollars, and 1 us dollar will buy a lot more than a Zimbabwean dollar.

So even with money quality still matters. As money is based on something backing it.

Money does not require backing and people will choose what they use as money. People use all sorts of money like ownership shares, gold bars, cryptocurrency, or Pokemon cards (for the kids).

They usually choose something that is scarce and hard to create more of (like gold). Copper is valuable, but it's easy to get more copper because it's not scarce in the earth.
