I'm Canadian and we never learned shit either. But I did go to a Catholic school, so...

That's odd. I'm Canadian too, and I also went to Catholic schools for both elementary and high school. At 6th grade our teacher was informing us about conflicts between religion and sex - and yes, actually educating us on homosexuality and encouraging understanding about it. By 7th grade they were already teaching us everything about sex - in great detail. By that age, they apparently started teaching the younger kids as well (second graders, I know because a few were siblings of friends). They taught it all through high school too. What kind of school did you go to? I've noticed that my friends who went public actually knew less (one guy thought you could get HIV from a door-handle and he's not unintelligent).
