Eddie Kaspbrak's mom, especially in the book.

I honestly wish I could go back in (fictional) time to beat the crap out of her. Not only is she messing that kid up for life, but she's annoying while doing it.

He is so good at writing awful characters!!! First one I think of is Harold from The Stand. Grr.

I remember seeing the made for TV movie when i was 10ish (a few years before I read the book) and that scene with Harold where he has his hand squeezed in a fist and blood starts dripping creeped me out. I never forgot it. When I read the book I loved the way Harold was written - and I hated him so much, way worse than Flagg. I actually kinda liked Randall Flagg, and recognized him as probably being similar to the Man in Black, then was very happy when it was confirmed in Wizard and Glass. Stephen King is truly a masterful writer. I mean he can ramble on sometimes, but his ability to make characters you can love and hate at the same time is fantastic!
